Team Up To Give 200 Children A Merry Christmas In DeKalb County
The Ludacris Foundation, The Chris Webber Foundation, David Banner's
Heal the Hood Foundation, Rah Rah's Village of Hope, Marsha's Angels
Foundation, Hot 107.9's Spirit of Hip Hop and Dekalb County teamed
up to host the LudaChrisMiss Holiday Celebration at a Dekalb County
Recreation Center for 250 children (ages 6-12) on Saturday, Christmas
Eve, December 24, 2005 to help those less fortunate.
The Holiday Celebration day was designed for children who may
not receive toys and gifts during the holiday season. Children participating
in the LudaChrisMiss Holiday Celebration were identified and selected
by Dekalb County, a collaboration of children awarded to the county,
Hurricane Katrina and Rita survivors. This event continued
the efforts and supported those children most affected by tragedy,
abandonment and misfortune. The children, accompanied by their parents
or guardian participated in a day full of food, games, gifts, face
painting, celebrity appearances, live performances and a joyous visit
from Santa; hosted by Spirit of Hip Hop 's own CoCo Brother and Hot
107.9.
