Hollywood Winter Wonderland
Magic Comes to Atlanta
Ludacris and his foundation are bringing
Luda-Crismas cheer to Atlanta area children
Atlanta, GA –“When Hollywood launched the premier of Fred Claus featuring Ludacris, the after party was a magical winter wonderland. We are bringing that same magic to Atlanta children” said Roberta Shields, President of the Ludacris Foundation. This Christmas, in the spirit of giving, the multi-platinum rapper/actor Ludacris will provide a very special Christmas for some Atlanta area children - called Luda-Crismas in Winter Wonderland.
"The Christmas season is all about giving of yourself – That’s the true meaning of Christmas. Helping those that are less fortunate than ourselves – That’s what this time of year is all about. During the holidays there is no greater gift than the "gift of giving" and putting smiles on the faces of others" says Ludacris.
Ludacris, The Ludacris Foundation, The Woodruff Arts Center, and DTP are hosting a Christmas Winter Wonderland Party for approximately 150 children, 6 to 12 years old. The children were selected from communities throughout the metro Atlanta area. Children attending the party will see the movie Fred Claus and be treated to games, entertainment, and great food. They will also be able to “Build-A-Bear”, play WII games and take pictures with Santa. The party will take place this Saturday, December 22nd from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Woodruff Arts Center, 1280 Peachtree Street NE., Atlanta, GA 30309.
“I love this time of year and can’t wait to see the smiles of joy on the faces and wonderment in the eyes of the children as they make it thru “Winter Wonderland,” said Roberta Shields. "At The Ludacris Foundation, we understand the importance of helping others and giving back. We understand that the little things we do can sometimes have a huge effect on these children for years to come. We understand! That’s why we do what we do.”
The Christmas Party is a part of the Foundation's LudaCares Initiative. The Luda Cares Initiative is dedicated to supporting kids and families in need during the holiday season. Providing food, toys and surprise visits.
