Statement from the family

ATLANTA, GA (February 25, 2007) -- The family of Chris “Ludacris” Bridges has released the following statement regarding the passing of his father, Wayne Brian Bridges on Sunday, February 25, 2007.

Chris and his family will deeply miss Wayne Bridges, but will find comfort in knowing that he is in God’s hands.   Family and friends of Wayne know that he was a great influence on his son. Chris’ love of music was originated from his father exposing music to him at an early age. Wayne often reminded everyone, “you know he gets that from me,” when Chris’ style, talent and skills were mentioned.

Wayne had an infectious personality with a zest for life. This joy of life is his legacy that will live on through his family and friends.

Chris and his family thank you for your prayers and hope that you will understand his need for privacy.
